Kitties available for adoption
Cactus Cats Rescue has adoption proceedures that are strictly followed. All of our animals are previously altered and have had at least their first vaccines or a booster. Every cat is tested for FIV/FeLV and cared for by knowledgable foster parents in loving environments. Our adoption fee is $115 fore adults and $125 for kittens. We will consider a discount if the adopter is interested in more than one kitty at the time of adoption or if the cat is a 'special needs' or an older cat.  You can fill out an application for anyone you see online and e:mail it to inquiry@cactuscatsrescue.net or come down to Adoption Day and find your new family member.

Gooby

Meet Gooby!  Gooby was abandoned in the streets after his home (a hoarder with 40+ cats) passed away. He has some type of trauma early in life to his eyes, but can still see very well.

Gooby loves to be pet, likes his belly and butt rubbed, likes to talk, likes running water (plays in our water fountain), likes other cats, loves to lounge, and is extremely affectionate to people.

Please consider giving Gooby that happy ending he deserves.

Maeve

Maeve is a lovely 1 year old tortie girl with beautiful green eyes and soft fur. She is very affectionate and likes to sit on your lap and snuggle at night. She has very good bed manners! Great jumper and likes string toys and laser pointers. She would need slower introduction to other cats but then would be fine.

Jackie O

Jackie O is a very sweet and wonderful Lady. Her wonderful owner had to surrender her and her house mates due to have to care for a disabled family member and she wanted her kitties to have the love and attention that they needed. She loved her very much and we promised to give them and get them loving homes.

Jackie O is such a wonderful lady. She prefers humans to other cats but can live with cats just fine. (Just a bit of growls, no fighting) She doesn't mind living with dogs either and lives with a very large dog now in her foster home. She just prefers to be by herself. (typical tortie) She like to be next to her people on the couch or at night in bed. You can't tell from the pictures but Jackie O is a very large lady (slightly overweight) and is currently on a diet from our Vet. If adopted quickly she will need to continue her diet until she is at a healthy weight for a very ling life.

Jackie just had surgery and will be ready for adoption shortly.

If you would like to meet Jackie O please come and meet her at Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd In Ahwatukee on Saturdays from 11-3 , call our hotline or message us through Petfinder. Don't forget to ask for his foster mom Monica.

Ernie

Ernie is a very meek little boy. He can be a bit shy at first but in a few days he comes around then will become your best friend. He loves rubbed all over his head and ears. Chin rubs are a plus for him and please don't forget the butt scratches. You know elevator butt happens daily with those scratches.

Ernie has a beautiful shiny black coat with a cute button like white spot on his chest. he will make a best friend for anyone.

We have only had Ernie for a week or so and we are still learning all about him. We know that we has lived with other cats, dogs do scare him and we do not know if he has seen children in a home setting. The key with Ernie is a slow introduction.

Remember if you can't adopt please sponsor the cat you would like to adopt and help make their life a happy one.

If you are interested in Ernie come to Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on Saturdays from 11-3, call our hotline or message us through Petfinder. Ask for his foster parents John and Kathy.

Rosalia

Rosalia is such a very sweet girl. She came to the rescue from another rescue who saved her life and the life of her kittens off the euthanasia list. We Thank Kelly so much for saving this family.

Rosalia is a wonderful mom who raised 3 beautiful kittens. Now it is her turn to find her forever home and she deserves it. She is one who deserves a home where she will be the center of everyones attention and be treted like the queen she should be treated as.

Rosalia loves to be petted and scratched on her head, chin and of course ears rubs are the best. scratches down the back are a must as well. She like to rub up on you and sit with you. She loves all of your attention and she deserves it.

She has very cool eyes.. She has one eye that has a round pupil and the other is almond shaped. I will be asking our Vet about this when she sees her this week. I will post an update on that.

**MORE PICS TO FOLLOW THIS WEEK**

Chester Cheeto

Wow, is all I can say about Chester. He is one beautiful boy. He is a handsome orange and man is he tall, he has the tallest legs I have ever seen on a cat before. He is so sweet and just craves your attention and will rub against your legs and want all the love you can give him.
Chester was rescued off of the E-List in Yuma. He was found eating bird eggs all while being attacked and pecked in the back of his head and ear by the birds. He must have been very hungry to keep eating through a bird attack. Poor guy. He has a wound behind his ear that is healing. Although he keeps ripping the scab off because he is always rubbing his head n everything. I just use wound ease on it and it heals up again. Just go to show you all the love this big guy has to give.
I was worried at first because he was so upset when he got with me. He was growling and hissing at everything that moved. And boy could he scream.... But the next day he loved the dog, us and he is beginning to get along with the cats. Some cats are fine but others he is not crazy about. Just like people. So people we like others not so much. LOL. Now he is a gentle cat who rubs the dogs, loves people and some cats.

Chester was seen by our Vet because he had some smelly breath. I thought it was due to the fact he was eating birds, mice and eggs and living outside because his gums were red. However Chester was diagnosed with Stomatitis and was given a Steroid injection for the inflammation and I will be brushing his teeth. He will require teeth brushing to keep bacteria down and regular vet checkups to have his gums checks and possible steroid injections. The stomatitis can get worse and become painful so you will need to keep a close eye on him.

If you are interested in Chester Cheeto come to Petco on Saturday from 11-3 in Ahwatukee, call our hotline or message us through Petfinder and don't forget to ask for his foster mom Monica.

Katya

Beautiful, regal looking light gray tabby and very playful. Now that I finished raising my four kittens, I'm hoping to find my own forever home. I love to be petted and being with my person. I also love to have a soft bed by a window to take naps and view the world, especially if there are birds outside. My favorite toys are soft balls and anything with feathers on it and of course catnip makes everything better. Please come meet me and see what a wonderful companion I can be.

Kayla

My very favorite thing in the world is to be with my person. I would do best as the only cat, as I'm not very good with sharing, My next favorite thing is finding the perfect chair to take a nap, as I take napping very seriously. Toys with feathers are my favorite, especially if they also have catnip. I also love, love tuna treats. I will do anything for tuna. Come meet me to show you how sweet and loving I am.

Great with kids and snuggles up in his foster home with the one daughter by sleeping in her arms! He does like to play as you can see in his picture. Very gentle and easygoing and knows when to back off with other cats. He is such a wonderful kitten and would be great addition to any family.
