Kitties available for adoption
Cactus Cats Rescue has adoption proceedures that are strictly followed. All of our animals are previously altered and have had at least their first vaccines or a booster. Every cat is tested for FIV/FeLV and cared for by knowledgable foster parents in loving environments. Our adoption fee is $115 fore adults and $125 for kittens. We will consider a discount if the adopter is interested in more than one kitty at the time of adoption or if the cat is a 'special needs' or an older cat.  You can fill out an application for anyone you see online and e:mail it to inquiry@cactuscatsrescue.net or come down to Adoption Day and find your new family member.

Maeve

Maeve is a lovely 1 year old tortie girl with beautiful green eyes and soft fur. She is very affectionate and likes to sit on your lap and snuggle at night. She has very good bed manners! Great jumper and likes string toys and laser pointers. She would need slower introduction to other cats but then would be fine.

Please contact Cactus Cats through Petfinder and ask for her foster Denise or you can see her Saturdays from 11-3 at the Ahwatukee Petco at I-10 and Ray Rd.

Kayla

My very favorite thing in the world is to be with my person. I would do best as the only cat, as I'm not very good with sharing, My next favorite thing is finding the perfect chair to take a nap, as I take napping very seriously. Toys with feathers are my favorite, especially if they also have catnip. I also love, love tuna treats. I will do anything for tuna. Come meet me to show you how sweet and loving I am.

Moria

Moria is a beautiful sassy little girl who loves to play alot. She enjoys laying in the sun and looking out the windows to investigate what's going on around the neighborhood. She will nibble on your fingertips for attention and or to let you know she wants to play. She will let you know when she's out of food. Loves to be loved, and deserves the best! She will lay on your lap on lazy lap days [most days]. She has been around other cats but is too bossy, for she likes things her way. Never been around dogs, not sure about children.
Moria is a special needs kitty who will need someone to be extra attentive to her health, and wellbeing.
This street momma is looking for her forever home since her babies have already found theirs

Please contact Cactus Cats through Petfinder and ask for her foster Heather.

Jackie O

Jackie O is a very sweet and wonderful Lady. Her wonderful owner had to surrender her and her house mates due to have to care for a disabled family member and she wanted her kitties to have the love and attention that they needed. She loved her very much and we promised to give them and get them loving homes.

Jackie O is such a wonderful lady. She prefers humans to other cats but can live with cats just fine. She doesn't mind living with dogs either and lives with a very large dog now in her foster home. She just prefers to be by herself. (typical tortie) She like to be next to her people on the couch or at night in bed. You can't tell from the pictures but Jackie O is a very large lady (slightly overweight) and is currently on a diet from our Vet. If adopted quickly she will need to continue her diet until she is at a healthy weight for a very ling life.

Jackie recently had surgery and will be ready for adoption shortly, about a month. She needed to have her hip repaired due a fracture. Her foster mom can explain everything to potential adopters.

Due to Jackie's Orthopedic problems we feel being adopted into a home with children is not a good fit for her.

If you would like to meet Jackie O please come and meet her at Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd In Ahwatukee on Saturdays from 11-3 , call our hotline or message us through Petfinder. Don't forget to ask for his foster mom Monica.

Sylvester

Here is one great guy named Sylvester. He was found wondering the block when he followed a wonderful lady home and she took him to the vet to be scanned for a chip. No chip. He was nurtured, but had a clipped ear so someone thought he was a stray. She had him vaccinated and tested.

He is a five in a half year old 15 pound boy full of love and cuddles. He follows her where ever she goes. Climbs into her lap for some lovin and some well needed petting and scratching and then becomes the big purr machine that he is.

He helps her with her gardening and after a long day of work takes the chair for a long siesta. he loves to play with feather toys and jump in the air.
We think he would be a wonderful cat for a retired person.
He should to be the ONLY cat though. He hisses at others, no fighting though-he wants all the love for himself?

He is now living it up indoors and thanks the wonderful lady who has giving him a chance to live the rest of his indoors and the chance at a long life.

Sylvester will be at the Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on February 16th from 11-3 come and meet this wonderful boy. Message us through Petfinder or Call our hotline.

Two Face

Two Face is a very, very sweet boy and shy. His does like to be petted but is always acting very concerned and scare himself and sometimes will hiss (not all the time) but never does anything and always let you pet him. He has warmed up to his foster moms husband and will go over to him to be petted and will purr. He should only be placed with older children, no younger children.

He is a super sweet boy but seems to avoid the other foster cats in the house and the dogs as well. Given time we feel is come out of his shell. He has only been with a two weeks and feel he is still missing his mom who passed away. He was with her since he was eight weeks old until now. Maybe he is still grieving and will come out of his shell soon. Time will tell but we feel he has lots of love to give.

His pictures make him look agitated but he actually is nice. He is being held by a young teenager.

** Two Face is the Brother of Beast and Maleficent **

If you would like to meet Two Face come to Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on Saturdays from 11-3, message us through Petfinder or call out Hotline and ask for his foster mom Janaya.

Jarvis

Jarvis is new to Cactus Cats Rescue, he and his foster mom are learning all about each other. He doesn't seem to mind other cats but keeps his distance. If another cat goes after him he will defend himself. He is no sissy. LOL He is leery of dogs but not aggressive. We are still unsure what he thinks of children.

Jarvis really is a sweet boy once he gets to know you. He is scared and he did loose his home. He is one of those all talk no actions cats. He loves chin rubs and scratched on his head. Butt scratches are great as well. It just takes time for him to trust. He was not feeling that great when he got here. He had a nose full of cat litter and getting his nose flushed was not his favorite thing, plus it became a bit infected. But he is feeling better now and on the mend. Just give this boy a chance to learn what love is all about and he will learn to trust and love you in return.

One thing with Jarvis we have possibly learned is that he was possibly abused terribly. When you go to pet him he will hiss at you but is all talk no action Jarvis. Once you pick him up he melts in your arms. He needs to be approached from under the chin not from above.

Jarvis just had a bit of surgery on his mouth he had some bad teeth where his roots of his teeth were terribly exposed and needed removed. He also had a dental done while the teeth were removed. So Jarvis had nice pearly whites.

If you are interested in Jarvis please visit with him at Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd between 11-3 on Saturdays, call our hotline or message us through Petfinder.

Finn

I'm a handsome devil but I'm now ready for my furever home. Don't let my 18 pounds scare you, there's just more of me to love. I love, love being on your lap or finding a soft warm spot to take a nap. Birds are my hobby and I love looking out the window. I also wouldn't say no to a ball or anything with feather, especially if it has catnip. I'm also learning to walk on a leash. So as you see I would make the perfect companion for you.

Finn was rescued from a life outdoors by his foster mom who has cared for and loved home very much. She wants Finn to have a great life living the good life being someones one and only.

Finn has a history of Stomatitis and just had a dental requiring multiple teeth extractions except three canine teeth. He is don't great and recovered from his dental.

If you are interested in meeting Finn come to the Petco on I-10 & Ray from Saturdays from 11-3, message us through Petfinder or call our hotline. Don't forget to ask for his foster mom Blanca.
