Cactus Cats Rescue has adoption proceedures that are strictly followed. All of our animals are previously altered and have had at least their first vaccines or a booster. Every cat is tested for FIV/FeLV and cared for by knowledgable foster parents in loving environments. Our adoption fee is $115 fore adults and $125 for kittens. We will consider a discount if the adopter is interested in more than one kitty at the time of adoption or if the cat is a 'special needs' or an older cat. You can fill out an application for anyone you see online and e:mail it to email@example.com or come down to Adoption Day and find your new family member.

Within the heart of every stray lies the singular desire to be loved.
Daphne is such a loving and beautiful lady. She has a beautiful long orange coat on her the is soft like a bunny. She is by no means a small girl. She is a large cat.
She like to be petted and lay with you on the couch. She often gives headbutts to show her affection toward you.
She does great when going to the groomers. She was bathed and had a blow dry and never even gave the lady any issues at all. Just an all around perfect girl. The groomer did say that because she was not cared for before she developed a lot of matted fur and caused mild infection and pain to her skin. They also recommended no shaving due to the pain she felt from the matted fur and will cause more problems for her in the long run.
Daphne will require brushing at least 2-3 times a week due to her long hair and trips to the groomers a few times a year for baths. We ask that only people who have the time to take care of her fur properly inquire about her only. Up keeping with her beautiful orange fur is going to take time and the ability financially to send her to the groomers. This is a very special girl who needs tons of love and a good brush. Staying beautiful takes work.
UPDATE: Daphne is once again up for adoption however she is available only as a special needs cat. She will require Can Cat Food for her urinary tract the rest of her life. If she does not get the the food she will form crystals and cysts and in turn will tear her bladder again and she can form large kidney stones. This is in turn require thousands of dollars in surgery for her kidneys. Her potential adopter will be screened by her foster mom.
ONLY SERIOUS ADOPTERS REPLY AND THOSE WHO CAN PROVIDE FOR DAPHNE'S NEEDS. SHE IS A WONDERFUL AND LOVING CAT.
She gets along with dogs but because of her food needs she will be adopted as an only cat.
If you would like to meet Daphne she can be seen at Petco on I-10 and Ray Rd on Saturdays from 11-3. You can also message us through Petfinder, email us or call our hotline and ask for her foster mom Monica.

Meet my little man Denver. He has such a cute face it just makes you want to reach our and grab him. He has a great personality for a little guy and comes running to play with you. His beautiful black coat is soft and shines in the sunlight. He loves being held, chin rubs and scratched down his back. He often turns in to my little purr machine.
Denver loves to wrestle with his litter mates (Dallas & Dugan) They love chasing each other all around then doing flips on each other to start the wrestling match. He loves playing with glitter craft balls, feather toys and circle ball chase toys. However don't forget the laser pointer to tire out a little kitten who is always ready to play.

Meet little Dugan. He is such a sweet, meek & shy little boy. He is the timid one of his litter (there is always one) but does great with his brother and sister (Denver & Dallas) who support him. They were rescued from outside by a wonderful lady who was trying to save them from becoming feral. Little Dugan was timid then. We thank this lady for saving their lives. Once he learns who you are and begins to trust you he will give you his little heart forever. He has a beautiful black and shimmering coat and he had the cutest little white tufts in his ears.
Dugan like his litter mates loves to wrestle and play chase all over. He loves to play with many toys and glitter balls and feathers are is favorite. He also likes chasing the ball in the circle ball track.

Rose like her sisters is a bit shy at first but when she gets to know you watch out. She will turn on her kitten full mode and it becomes playtime. Taz is a crazy little boy. His has tons of energy and more to spare and then some more. He is a FULL time kitten and will needs FULL time companionship. This is a kitten who will not do well left alone all day. He will need to have someone with him. He is a loving boy, just lots of energy.
He absolutely loves to play and no stop mode. He even like to play while being held. He is nibbler and would not do well with children or as a first time cat. He like to play with wand toys, feather toys, crinkle toys, bell toys or any toys you could possibly give him. He also like to ply with the back of other cats and wrestling with an older cat is not out of the realm of possibility for him.
He is such a sweet and spunky and fun little boy. Hopefully as he gets much older he settles a bit but we think that will be when he is most likely an adult. He is Just one of those cats that enjoys life way to much.
He has also had to exploratory surgeries to find his testicles and they are no where to be found. (might be why he is just a tad to full of energy) . We are adopting him and if they some how show up in four months Cactus Cats Rescue will pay for the Neuter at our Vet only practice only.
His foster is taking serious adopters only and is screening very carefully for someone who can handle a kitten like Taz.
Come and meet Taz at Petco on I0-10 & Ray Rd on Saturday from 11-3, Call our Hotline or Message us through Petfinder. Ask for his foster dad Edward.

He is a but shy at first but when he gets to know you in a few days he will rub all over you and just beg for rubs and scratches. He especially loves scratches between the ears and chin rubs are his favorite. However please don't forget the butt scratches for he does get elevator butt..... Jeeves is the perfect tuxedo cat around; he will serve you well.
Seems to be OK with cats, unsure of dogs, not around kids. Slow introductions with all will be important.
Jeeves is current on his vaccinations including rabies, wormed and tested for FIV/Felv and tested Negative.

Midori is an extremely sweet girl. She loves and craves human attention. She loves to have her head and chin rubbed and will begin to purr almost right away. when she sees you she lovers her head at you almost saying come on I'm hear it's time for some lovin! She loves her treats! We are not sure if she really likes cats yet. She had only been with us less then a week and the pecking order is still being set in the house. She will hiss at the dog but has not hurt him at all. However she has been very closely watched with all cats and the dog. Never has she been around children. If she is adopted a very slow introduction to cats, dogs and children is strongly recommended. If would not be her fault if something happen and there was no introduction done with other pets or children. So please think before adopting. She is a wonderful girl and would make anyone's life wonderful and awesome if instructions are followed.
Dorothy is a very sweet and playful little girl. It seems is she is never holding still. She lives her sisters and chasing and wrestling are what she does best. If you would like to meet Dorthy come to Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on Saturday from 11-3, call our Hotline or message us through Petfinder. Don't forget to ask for her foster mom Tracy.
Tonka is an extremely handsome boy with the most striking light blue eyes that just draw you in. He has a light blue point Siamese coat that is just beautiful. Tonka is by no means is a small boy, he is a solid guy.
Tonka will need an owner who is willing to accept him for who he is. He can be shy. He will need patience and an owner who can put in the time that it will take for him to come out of his shell. This could take a month or two. Once Tonka begins to trust you he will roam the house and explore his surroundings, and he will crave love and affection.
He likes rubbed between his ears, chin rubs, and butt rubs. :) He isn't a silly recreational cat, but more of a laid-back type.
Tonka will be available for adoption in approx 2 weeks.
If you would like to meet Tonka come to Petco on I-10 and Ray Road on Saturdays from 11-3, or call our hotline or message us through facebook. His foster mom's name is Monica.
