Kitties available for adoption
Cactus Cats Rescue has adoption proceedures that are strictly followed. All of our animals are previously altered and have had at least their first vaccines or a booster. Every cat is tested for FIV/FeLV and cared for by knowledgable foster parents in loving environments. Our adoption fee is $115 fore adults and $125 for kittens. We will consider a discount if the adopter is interested in more than one kitty at the time of adoption or if the cat is a 'special needs' or an older cat.  You can fill out an application for anyone you see online and e:mail it to inquiry@cactuscatsrescue.net or come down to Adoption Day and find your new family member.

Colby Jack

Meet Colby Jack, We call him "JACK". He is a beautiful boy with a orange and white coat that is soft and healthy. He is a lover boy once he gets to know you, He is a lap cat after total trust is earned.
I've only had him a short time and he has come around pretty fast. Within 24 hours he came to me and gave a head butt to let you know he was ready to be petted, He will be a bit scared at first in a new environment; just give him time to settle in.
Jack is not fond of the cat carries and will cry and scream to let you know he prefers to not be in the carrier. He settles in the car but as soon as you move him outside the car hold your ears. He will most likely let you know he is not happy.
He is a picky eater and we are working on finding the food that he will prefer to eat. He will pick at his food though.
He is such a great boy with tons of live to give.
If you are interested in Colby Jack you can meet him at Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on Saturdays from 11-3. You can also message us through Petfinder or call our hotline and ask for his foster mom Monica.

Little One

Little One is a one year old sweet girl who came to us as the mother of five kittens. She was an excellent, attentive mother. She is talkative when calling her children and when asking for food. The older her children become, the more playful she is becoming. She responds to a laser pointer, a small mouse wand, and loves to watch the birds out the window. She is very friendly and rubs against your hand asking for more petting. We have not observed her with cats other than her litter and do not know if she has had any exposure to dogs.

Please contact Cactus Cats through Petfinder and ask for her fosters Kathy and John or you can see her Saturdays from 11-3 at the Ahwatukee Petco at I-10 and Ray Rd.

Sylvester

Sylvester is a 3 month old handsome guy and a bundle of energy and likes to wrestle his sisters. He is very curious and is becoming quite confident. He plays with the feather wand, balls thrown for him, and the laser pointer. He came to us in a litter of not well-socialized kittens, but now allows himself to be petted and responds with a loud purr. We have not observed him with cats other than his littermates and do not know if he has had any exposure to dogs. It would be nice if he could be adopted with his sister, so he would have a playmate, or have other cats (or children) in the household to interact with.

Please contact Cactus Cats through Petfinder and ask for his fosters Kathy and John or you can see him Saturdays from 11-3 at the Ahwatukee Petco at I-10 and Ray Rd.

Callie

Callie is a beautiful, ladylike 3 month old kitten. She is very shy at first but will allow herself to be petted once she becomes accustomed to you. She loves to play and wrestle with her littermates. She especially likes the feather wands, balls, and the laser pointer. We have not observed her with cats other than her littermates and do not know if she has had any exposure to dogs. It would be nice if she could be adopted with her brother, so she would have a playmate, or have other cats (or children) in the household to interact with.

Please contact Cactus Cats through Petfinder and ask for her fosters Kathy and John or you can see her Saturdays from 11-3 at the Ahwatukee Petco at I-10 and Ray Rd.

Poppy

I am 3 months of old and sweet as can be. I love running around the house pouncing on anything that passes by me. I especially like to sneak up behind my brother Pepper and pounce on him. I love to play with toys that have feathers, especially if they also have catnip. I like to be held and petted, chin scratches they’re the best. Soft beds and a warm & sunny spot are my favorite napping spots. I also enjoy a spot by the window where I can see all the birds outside, I love birds. I enjoy going to the pet store in my cat carrier and do OK on car rides. I won’t mind at all if you want to trim my nails or clean my ears.

Gooby

Meet Gooby!  Gooby was abandoned in the streets after his home (a hoarder with 40+ cats) passed away. He has some type of trauma early in life to his eyes, but can still see very well.

Gooby loves to be pet, likes his belly and butt rubbed, likes to talk, likes running water (plays in our water fountain), likes other cats, loves to lounge, and is extremely affectionate to people.

Please consider giving Gooby that happy ending he deserves.

Moses

Moses is a great boy who was found by a wonderful gentleman before Easter in the desert. Moses was injured; attacked by a coyote or dog. He was bit on the face (hence the wonky ear, I think it makes him unique). He was also injured on the back end with bite marks which became infected. This wonderful man took him to the Vet got him all taken care and called us to rescue Moses. Which we did. Thanks to this man Moses is alive, healed up, gained weight and ready for his new home. We just can't understand how someone would dump a declawed wonderful and friendly boy.
Moses is a total lap cat, will cuddle up with you anytime and follow you around the house. He loves people so much. He sits on my lap like a person sitting up and hangs over the arm of the couch. He loves canned food, Tiki Cat Mousse is his favorite. He lives with dogs and cats gets along fine. He does like to chase other kitties telling them he is in charge. Just a lot of noise no fighting though.
Moses does have something called Horners Syndrome on the left side of his face where he was bit. Its caused by a damaged nerve but it will get better just takes time. This is why his eye looks smaller, closed a bit and watery. I just wipe his eye and he allows me to do so. He is so forgiving and has so much love to give. If you correct him he has to get the last word in and will walk away snarling or growling, it's so funny. Also please DO NOT put a collar on him, when he was found he still had a small collar on which had pulled out his hair and cut his neck. He now hates things around his neck. He would do great on a harness going for walks. Whoever gets to adopt Moses is getting an awesome companion for life, best cat ever and bestest friend.
If you are interested in Moses please come and visit him at Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on Saturdays from 11-3, call our hotline or message us through Petfinder and ask for his foster mom Monica.

Lily

Lily is a very sweet girl. She came to us from a wonderful lady who rescued her and took car of her and her kittens. However due to illness she needed to surrender them to Cactus Cats Rescue and our foster cared for them until mom and babies were ready to be spayed/neutered and are now ready for adoption.
Lily craves human attention and can't get enough love and will purr herself to sleep next to you. She loves laser toys. Chasing them passes her time then she will curl up with you can drift off to sleep.
Lily is good with most cats as long as they dob't try to dominate her. She lived with dogs and didn't seem to care about them wither way. Some are questionable though. She does not like them in her face.
She has a beautiful ticked tabby coat with some white and glaring green eyes. She is the perfect package.
If you are interested in Lily come to Petco on I-10 & Ray Rd on Saturdays, call out hotline or message us through Petfinder.
